Mirror Box
Mirrors reflects an image of what we see or want to see of ourselves, which may be different that how other people view us. Some people may think we are beautiful, some people remember us as taller, and some think we have big eyes.
This mirror abstracts our reflection even more, presenting a complicated image ourselves in which we can view on all sides. This four sided mirror presents a more truthful and abstract version of ourselves.

Construction

The construction involved laser cutting mirror acrylic into four perfectly similar triangular patterns that would then be glued together inside a square box. The process of figuring out the measurements was math intensive, and constructing the box itself involve prototyping a cardboard pyramid box model. In the end, I added an extra touch by putting lights around it to mimic a hollywood mirror.
